Welcome to the Carbon Architect.

Hi! Thanks for subscribing to the Carbon Architect, I am honestly so thankful for you.

My name is Steven Biersteker, I am an architect by day and carbon curious by night, but don’t worry my worlds collide constantly.

This newsletter is focused on that intersection. How do Architecture & Carbon meet?

I’m curious and I hope you are too.

Start with WHY

The world is heating up due to humans. That’s not a fact we are here to debate.

But I am also not a climate alarmist that believes the world will burn to the ground tomorrow if we don’t do something yesterday.

So my WHY is about doing better, changing the way we think, and creating a sustainable future for our children.

The Carbon Architect will be debuting on January 10, 2023 and will be followed by a weekly newsletter. Some of the early topics include:

Each article will include 3 things:

1. 1 TOPIC related to carbon & architecture

2. 1 SKETCH explaining the topic in a simple form (like the one below)

4. 1 RESOURCE to help you design more carbon consciously
