Thanks for writing this! It is often so underestimated! I'm from Belgium and this is just one giant big concrete slab. Everyone keeps building, nature makes room for concrete and housing. No wonder we get floodings and our water table is historically low.
I'd also add the mental aspect of having greenery nearby ☺️
